Role Description

The Social Media and Communications Intern will play a key role in supporting the digital communication and marketing activities of First Nations Health and Globalo MedLink. This position focuses on creating and sharing meaningful, culturally informed health content that strengthens community engagement and promotes positive health outcomes for First Nations peoples.
Key Responsibilities: Content Development: Assist in the creation of engaging and culturally appropriate content for social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) that reflects First Nations voices, values, and health priorities. Health Promotions Calendar: Plan, maintain, and publish a health promotions calendar that aligns campaigns and posts with key health awareness dates, cultural events, and community outreach initiatives. Campaign Support: Contribute to marketing and promotional efforts by drafting copy, scheduling posts, tracking engagement and performance metrics, and collaborating with the broader team to coordinate campaigns. Community Engagement: Support and amplify First Nations health communication by engaging with community partners, sharing local stories, and promoting programs, services, and events that improve health awareness and access. Collaboration: Work closely with the communications, health promotion, and outreach teams to ensure all messaging is inclusive, respectful, and aligned with organisational values and goals.
