Role Title: Research and Data Intern
Organisation: Wheatbelt & Beyond Youth Mentoring
Internship Period: Summer (November - December)
Location: Bruce Rock
The intern will be responsible for:
Researching suitable statistics and data which support our purpose and mission. Including data on young people in the regions, mental health, rural inequity & disadvantage, benefits of youth mentoring etc.
• Create a database of mentor skills etc that can be used to enhance our program
• Data Tracking. Helping us to develop a method to track the longitudinal data from our program including statistics that will help us within the organisation and will appeal in grant applications and funding documents.
To support regional, rural and remote students to build mental health and wellbeing, confidence, aspiration and belief in a bright future, contributing to more equitable education outcomes, as students make the challenging transition from adolescence to adulthood whilst facing the disadvantage of geographic and social isolation.
