Role Title: WA Newborn Hearing Loss Database Intern

Role Description

1 in 1000 newborns are diagnosed with a permanent hearing loss each year. In Western Australia, we offer universal newborn hearing screening to all infants born in WA. Approximately 60 infants will be diagnosed with a hearing loss in WA each year, and referred to Perth Children's Hospital (PCH) for diagnostic audiological evaluation and management. The audiology team at PCH is currently creating database to track all infants diagnosed with hearing loss in WA and would be appreciative of some assistance from an intern to help set up the database, review and clean exisiting data files and integrate data from different departments working with these families for accurate reporting, evaluation and research at PCH.
