What makes a good citizen?

6 November, 2018

On Focus with Nadia Mitsopoulos

This panel discussion poses the question: What makes a good citizen?

Is it more than helping the school community, a charity or being respectful to workmates?

Is being a good citizen also about creating change, being tolerant or not being complacent?

In this forum hosted by the McCusker Centre for Citizenship four respected West Australians explain what makes a good citizen.

You will first hear from Linda Savage, she is a Lawyer, a former MP and Inaugural Convener of the Valuing Children Initiative, followed by Emeritus Professor Mike Daube, the 2018 Western Australian of the Year. The Most Reverend Kay Goldsworthy, Anglican Archbishop of Perth and Jonathan Ford, CEO of Moorkitj Koort Health Service and this year’s winner of the Community Person of the Year NAIDOC Award.
