The intern will support current research activities and operational projects within an Occupational Therapy team. The role will provide an opportunity to contribute to research processes, literature review and evidence synthesis, as well as assist with research and ethics-related activities.
Key activities may include:
Supporting current Occupational Therapy research and operational projects.
Conducting background research and literature searches.
Reviewing, analysing and summarising relevant academic literature.
Assisting with drafting research documents, reports and other written materials.
Supporting the preparation of research ethics documentation and related processes.
Organising and managing references and literature using EndNote.
Assisting with data collection, organisation and other research administration as required.
Supporting the team with other project activities relevant to Occupational Therapy and research.
The Social Ageing (SAGE) Futures Lab leads innovation in social and cultural care through collaborative research, consultancies, evaluation, knowledge and good practice exchange to develop effective evidence-based responses to four main critical issues: Social and Cultural Care; Diverse and Migrant Communities; Music and Arts Engagement; and Digital Ageing and Inclusion.
The SAGE Lab contributes social science perspectives and methodologies to the creative and caring professions with a focus on cultural and linguistic diversity and the role of social support networks (including formal/informal, local, distant, and virtual) to wellbeing across the life-course. Through research-led collaboration, evaluation and consultancies, the Lab facilitates partnerships with community, industry and government stakeholders to build capacity in research and training.
