Role Title: Project Intern Specialist Child Protection Unit: advocate for Children in care
Organisation: Department of Communities
Internship Period: Winter (June - July)
Location: Fremantle
Supporting the Advocate for Children in Care and Senior Project and Planning office, the intern will be assisting with the Viewpoint Redevelopment Project.
Viewpoint is the only digital mechanism used by Communities to systematically capture the individual voices of children and young people in out-of-home care, and serves as an online feedback system designed to assess the experiences and wellbeing of children in out-of-home care.
Viewpoint provides a system designed to amplify the voices of children and young people in out of home care. Viewpoint in its current state is no longer fit for purpose. The updates include updated questionnaires, new design and images, updated delivery methods including new browser and updated online/offline app for staff to carry out redevelopment project.
The Department collaborates to create pathways that enable individual, family and community wellbeing. What we do has far-reaching impacts across all aspects of society. Supporting wellbeing can mean many things including ensuring children are safe, helping people access a home, or creating diverse and inclusive communities.
