Role Title: Social Support Groups - Aged Care

Internship Period: Semester 2 (July – October)
Location: Willagee
• Analysing current outings and attendance – identifying what is working well and where there may be opportunities for improvement.
• Identifying new outing opportunities, considering accessibility, parking, amenities, costs, and senior discounts.
• Creating resource folders of activities based on location or activity type.
• Researching and compiling a resource folder for the Friendship Dinner Club, including suitable restaurants and area-based options.
• Researching themes and ideas for future monthly Friendship Dinner Club events.
• Preparing a client survey to better understand interests and needs, including specialised groups such as couples, exercise, craft, games, galleries, music, and other social activities.
• Researching requirements and opportunities for utilising volunteers to support transport.
• Presenting findings, recommendations, and ideas to support planning and future direction for 2027
•Assess day center for client participation / survey
• Present findings to day center team
