Role Title: Asset Engineer Intern

Role Description

As an Asset Engineer intern, you'll support the organization's asset management function — helping ensure infrastructure and physical assets (e.g., roads, buildings, utilities, equipment, or facilities, depending on the organization) are properly inspected, tracked, and planned for throughout their lifecycle. The role blends fieldwork with data analysis, giving you exposure to both hands-on engineering practice and strategic asset planning.
What you'll be doing Asset Inspection — Assisting with site visits and physical inspections of assets to check functionality, safety, and compliance with relevant standards. Condition Inspection — Assessing and rating the physical condition of assets (e.g., wear, deterioration, damage), and documenting findings using standardized condition assessment frameworks. Asset Data Review — Reviewing, validating, and updating records in the asset management system/database to ensure information is accurate, complete, and current. Asset Planning — Supporting the development of maintenance, renewal, or replacement plans by analyzing inspection data, identifying risks, and helping prioritize capital works or upkeep schedules.
