Role Title: WNHS Family and Domestic Violence Screening Audit Intern
Organisation: North Metropolitan Health Service
Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)
Location: West Perth/Subiaco
Women and Newborn Health Service (WNHS) delivers comprehensive care for women and newborns, encompassing maternity and gynaecology services, while providing specialised support for the diverse needs that may arise throughout the care journey. A key component of this care includes the routine screening for Family and Domestic Violence (FDV).
To ensure alignment with NMHS policy requirements and support the review/update of the WNHS FDV guideline, the intern will undertake a project to design a new audit tool for FDV screening across WNHS. This initiative will involve engaging with internal stakeholders, including policy, safety and quality teams, and clinicians, and conducting a thorough review of current policies and guidelines to inform the tool’s development.
Established in 2016, North Metropolitan Health Services (NMHS) is committed to providing excellent health care for our patients and our communities.
As one of the largest health services in WA, we provide a comprehensive range of adult specialist medical, surgical, mental health and obstetric services.
