Role Title: Community Arts Support & Development intern

Role Description

This role supports the Arts Centre's core business and assists through direct engagement with our exhibition and event programmes. The role also requires an awareness of practical youth focused creative opportunities beyond academic constraints. It is an opportunity for an intern to research, develop and recommend potential and realistic opportunities for community level art or cultural engagement in the creative arts within the context of an established community arts environment. Our staff team is small and part-time. As an intern at VPCA you would be working closely with team members on our exhibition and events areas, and be supported in gaining relevant community experience. You will have opportunities to work independently in developing the research aspects of the project. There would be regular opportunities for feedback and evaluation of your work in the role throughout the internship.
