Information Management & Member Engagement Intern

Role Title: Information Management & Member Engagement Intern

Organisation: WASSEA (WA Secondary School Executives Association)

Internship Period: Summer (November - December)

Location: Tuart Hill;

Role Description

WASSEA is the peak professional association representing Principals, Deputy Principals and other senior leaders in Western Australian public secondary schools.
This internship will focus on a defined records management and digitisation project, supporting WASSEA to better organise, preserve and access its historical and current organisational information. The intern will work with the Executive Officer to review physical and electronic records, assist with scanning and digitisation, apply consistent naming and filing conventions, and help develop a clear electronic records structure. The role may also include reviewing historical content, developing simple indexes or registers, assisting with digital information and website content, and supporting selected member engagement activities. The internship will provide practical experience in records and information management, digital organisation, professional communication and project work within a small professional association. WASSEA has a quiet office environment, so the role will particularly suit a student who is comfortable working independently, is organised and methodical, and enjoys bringing structure to information while taking ownership of defined project tasks.
