Role Title: Event Intern - Awards Night

Internship Period: Summer (November - December)
Location: West Perth
You will be working with Tess Stephenson, Events and Partnerships Manager, to help deliver our Annual Awards Night function at Kidogo Arthouse on 3 December, 2026. The right person is detail oriented but able to look at the big picture, takes initiative, is a professional communicator and interested in learning transferrable production, organising and relationship management skills.
The Community Conservation Awards are CCWA’s long-running program recognising outstanding contributions by individuals, community groups, and organisations working to protect and enhance Western Australia’s environment. The awards celebrate leadership, innovation, and on-ground impact across the conservation sector. The CCWA End of Year Celebration and Community Conservation Awards is a special, invitation-only event bringing together staff, volunteers, member groups, award nominees, and key supporters to celebrate the year’s achievements.
2026 marks 32 years of the Community Conservation Awards, the evening recognises outstanding contributions to environmental protection across Western Australia, while providing an opportunity to reflect, connect, and celebrate the people and projects making a difference for nature and community.
The Conservation Council of WA is the state’s foremost non-profit, non-government conservation organisation. Through advocacy, community engagement, policy development, science, and on-the-ground projects, we help create a sustainable future that all Western Australians can look forward to.
