Formed in 2024 following a Parliamentary Inquiry into the Response of WA Schools to Climate Change, Teachers for Climate Australia is a small group of teachers and former teachers based in Perth who are passionate about empowering young Australians (and their teachers!) to thrive in a changing climate.
We are looking for a dynamic social media intern to help us develop and disseminate social media content for teachers on our existing FB, Instagram, Blue Sky, Linked-In and YouTube platforms, in line with our values, mission and objectives (see www.teachersforclimate.com.au). You will be working primarily with the Co-founder of Teachers for Climate, Hannah von Ahlefeld, who is based in Perth and Paris, France, where she works with international organisations on climate change education and other global issues.
We are a group of Australian educators calling for bold and urgent action to empower our communities in responding to the unfolding climate and ecological emergency.

We believe that the role of education is to enable, empower and equip students, staff, families and the wider community to understand and engage in climate action.
