Role Title: Community Resource Development Intern

Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)
Location: any of the meerilinga location closest to their place of residence: Kingsley, Woodvale, Beechboro, High Wycombe, we are fleible with the location
The intern will support Meerilinga’s Professional Support and Community Development functions by researching and developing a Grants and Community Resource Register. This role will focus on building an accessible register where Service directors can view grant funders and potential opportunities, community referral pathways for families and refresh the playgroup handbook.
The intern will also contribute to the development of a digital professional development library, including curated free learning resources mapped to the National Quality Standards (NQS) and tailored to the needs of the early childhood workforce.

This project directly supports Meerilinga’s goals in strengthening community access, sector advocacy, educator capability, and transparent grant identification and planning.
Meerilinga is a not-for-profit organisation and registered charity that promotes the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child; working with children, their families, early childhood professionals, planners and the community to raise the status of children in Western Australia. Meerilinga’s association with children dates back to 1911, to the pioneers of the kindergarten movement and the early learning advocates for children’s interests in this state.
