Role Title: Community Partnerships Intern
Organisation: Hello Initiative
Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)
Location: Victoria Park
Please note: This role is only available to a candidate available on Mondays. The HI office is based at Perron Place, 61 Kitchener Avenue, Victoria Park.
Hello Initiative is a WA not-for-profit organisation that seeks to improve outcomes for young people (aged 10-17) who are engaged in the criminal justice system. Our flagship program is called the Mobile Support Project (MSP) where we connect vulnerable young people with recycled and refurbished smartphone devices to help them meet their court requirements.
HI is looking to expand our community partnerships program, including scaling donation drop-off locations from 2 to 6-7 partner locations across Perth. The intern will play a key role in identifying potential partners, developing outreach strategies, and establishing best-practice frameworks for managing ongoing partnership relationships. This will involve researching suitable community organisations and businesses, creating partnership materials and communications, and helping to define operational protocols for drop-off site management.
Subject to the intern's capacity and interest, there is always the opportunity to explore and support in other business areas, such as hands-on project work, grant applications, project evaluations, or marketing activities.
This role will work closely with the HI leadership team, including the Partnerships Coordinator. Other close key team members include the CEO, COO, and the Program Coordinator.
Our mission is to improve the social and judicial outcomes for young people involved in criminal justice in Western Australia. We do this by providing support relevant to the real world.
