Organisation: South Metropolitan Health Service

Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)

Role Description

SMHS Digital Health Team, who oversees information technology and information management, recently stood up a new team called the Digital Investment Office (DIO). This team is responsible for overseeing all requests for digital solutions, ensuring they go through a robust governance, quality assurance and planning process before being implemented. This includes approvals from various stakeholders, risk assessments, cyber assessments and technical assessments. The DIO is also responsible for digital investment planning, or planning what solutions are needed and putting up funding requests for large programs of work.
The DIO recently migrated all digital requests to a new platform, and conducted an audit of existing requests. They found a number of outstanding requests that need assistance to complete the various assessment processes to be compliant with policy. We are seeking an intern who can work with requesters to complete the various documentation required so that they can be formally closed and progressed to the next stage. This will involve: 1. Reviewing all outstanding requests and what needs to be completed. 2. Contacting the requesters to validate information is missing. 3. Working the requesters to complete the various documentation required, in alignment to policy and procedures. There will also be 'business as usual' work which could include scoping solutions, and getting involved in investment planning if desired.
