The eConnect Project has developed and support 2 distinct application platforms. The first being the eConnect Data Exchange Platform (eDEP) which comprises a weather (visualisation) website for DPIRD's network of 191 automatic weather stations for primary producers, and an Application Program Interface (API) Gateway to allow Agtech companies to access the weather/radar data in bulk via the API interface.
The second platform - is Extrata, an API Data Exchange Hub, which allows farmers to
control how they can share their real-time farm data with data aggregators. This platform is currently in Early Adopter phase and we're looking transition to BAU by Q3-2026.
Primary Objective:
For the eDEP - API Gateway - develop a "How-To-Guide" covering a) registering for an API key, b) how to access and ingest the data via API data calls and c) a test tool/swagger page.
