We are seeking an intern to produce a piece of research. This would be desktop research that engages with public policy to examine 'Truth Telling' in an international context. Firstly, it would include understanding the role of truth telling councils, peace processes, and reconciliation more broadly. Secondly, it would look at truth telling methodologies with examples drawn from community settings in Australia, including interviewing Centre for Stories staff involved in First Nations programming. Thirdly, it would make a series of recommendations for local, state and federal governments on how they can follow best international practice at the level of actionable policy on truth telling now to advocate for reconciliation, decolonisation and indigenisation.
