Role Title: Data & Evaluation Intern - Driving Access & Equity
Organisation: Department of Transport
Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)
Location: Innaloo
The Driving Access & Equity Program (DAEP), within the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure’s Regional Services directorate, is a multi-faceted approach to helping people obtain and retain a driver’s licence, with 3 interlinked streams of work (Projects, Services and Grants). For more information on DAEP: https://transport.wa.gov.au/projects-planning/driving-access-equity
DAEP collects large volumes of data however, there is a lack of integration between the workstreams and lack of consistency with data collection/storage which limits the ability to report on overall outcomes or evaluate DAEP’s effectiveness as an ongoing program.
You will work with the Senior Evaluation Coordinator to develop holistic reporting, identifying the customer touchpoints with DAEP through their licensing journey and how this leads to overall outcomes. This will include developing dashboards through Tableau as well as research into data collection/management best practice to form recommendations on how data will be collected and used for reporting on DAEP outcomes into the future.
