Client Database Intern

Role Title: Client Database Intern

Organisation: Multicultural Services Centre

Internship Period: Summer (November - December)

Location: Mirrabooka

Role Description

To design or amend a client database for a counselling program that permits staff to enter client case notes and demographic data but that also has a reporting function.
The intern will be interacting primarily with the counselling staff to ascertain their reporting requirements for their funding body. The intern will also liaise with a member of our IT team. At present we utilise SharePoint which is not an efficacious site to use for the information we need to store. The main purpose of the intern is to consider other options for the storage of client information and for data analysis and reporting. For example, each financial year we publish a report for our funding body. This report outlines a number of key variables, including, the number of clients, number of client contacts, types of client presenting problems etc. We require a system that allows us to open and close files and reopen files as the need arises. We would like to integrate the client referral form into the database.
