Triage Intern

Role Title: Triage Intern

Organisation: Law Access

Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)

Location: Nedlands

Role Description

Law Access accepts applications for legal assistance from vulnerable West Australians and seeks to place some of those applicants with private legal practitioners. We have implemented a new triage process to ensure that applicants are firstly directed to the most appropriate service provider in the legal assistance sector and otherwise assessed for eligibility for our service in a trauma-informed way. We need a triage Intern to team with existing employees to process applications for legal assistance. Given we are implementing a new file management system on 16 February, the intern will be asked to review and provide feedback on the processes, procedures, training and induction materials, templates and any other aspect of the process that can be improved.
