Role Title: LOLO Trial Group Baseline and Deckee Comparison Intern

Marine Rescue Western Australia is seeking an intern to assist with analysing Log On/Log Off activity for selected LOLO trial Groups.
The intern will work with historic LOLO data for the trial Groups and compare it with more recent Deckee-era data. The purpose is to help identify observable trends in recorded LOLO activity since the project began using Deckee.
This role is focused on baseline comparison and trend reporting. It does not involve live vessel monitoring or operational decision-making.
The placement would suit a student with an interest in data analysis, Excel, reporting, business intelligence, public sector projects, emergency services, or evaluation reporting.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) was established on the 1st November 2012, and performs a critical role coordinating emergency services for a range of natural disasters and emergency incidents threatening life and property.
It comprises of 1600 operational personnel and corporate staff members. It also has an extensive network of more than 27,000 volunteers engaged in the delivery of services to the community.
The Operational Research and Development branch’s purpose is to enable the continuous improvement of our operational assets including firefighting fleet, equipment and personal protective clothing to enhance service delivery to the community and increase the capability of the department.
