Data Science and IT Intern 2

Role Title: Data Science and IT Intern 2

Organisation: Path of Hope Foundation

Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)

Location: South Perth

Role Description

The Data Science and Automation Intern will contribute to the next phase of the Path of Hope Foundation’s digital infrastructure, which supports women and children through the Foundation’s partnership with The Salvation Army. The role sits within the Foundation’s leadership team and forms part of our broader operational and research work, including the centennial HOPE Report initiative.
The intern will assist in developing an end to end digital system that strengthens automation, data accuracy, operational transparency and real time reporting. This includes expanding workflow automation, improving data flows between systems, supporting integrations with platforms such as Stripe and Make dot com, and contributing to dashboards that track donations, fund balances, kit requests and deliveries. The intern will work closely with senior mentors who bring expertise from universities and Rotary, including Professor Garry Allison from Curtin University and Professor Stella Tarrant from the University of Western Australia, as well as community leaders and other student interns who contribute to related projects. The role provides hands on experience in data systems, automation and impact driven technology, while supporting a programme that directly assists families affected by family violence.
