Role Description

This internship focused on supporting WA Wildlife’s training and volunteer development program through the creation and digitisation of training materials across key operational areas, including reception, rescue, triage, treatment and rehabilitation.
The intern worked alongside WA Wildlife staff to help improve the accessibility, consistency and integration of volunteer training content through digital platforms. Key responsibilities included: • Collaborating with staff to ensure alignment with current training practices across departments • Assisting in the integration of training programs and content into centralised learning platforms • Collating and digitising existing training materials into structured reference documents and modules • Reviewing internal training processes to ensure consistency and alignment between operational areas • Developing digital resources to provide clear, practical guidance for volunteers across various roles This internship offered valuable experience in training development, volunteer management and wildlife health operations, while contributing meaningfully to WA Wildlife’s long-term preparedness and operational sustainability.
