Role Title: Digital Literacy Program Intern
Organisation: St Patrick's Community Support Centre
Internship Period: Semester 2 (July – October)
Location: 12 Queen Victoria Street (St Pat's Day Centre)
Lead in the design and development of a digital literacy program for service users accessing the Day Centre at St Pat’s. During the planning phase, the student will be responsible for identifying the digital literacy needs of clients by conducting a formal survey and compiling the resulting data. Based on these findings, the student will design a written curriculum for the program, including a facilitator manual and relevant worksheets that outline all topics to be covered, along with a structured format for class delivery.
In the implementation phase, the student will either deliver the digital literacy classes directly or identify and train volunteers to facilitate the sessions. The student will be expected to take on either a facilitator or co facilitator role. The student will also be responsible for creating promotional materials, such as flyers, in collaboration with St Pat’s staff to advertise the program.
Finally, the student will oversee all monitoring and evaluation activities related to the project. This includes developing and administering pre- and post-program measurement tools and producing a final report detailing participant outcomes and lessons learnt.
