Role Title: Project Intern Child Protection & Family Support South Metro Executive

This project intern will be based in the South Metro Region (Child Protection and Family Support Division) supporting a project reviewing the practice of Assist Mentors. Assist Mentors are roles based both metro and regionally that support Communities child protection staff in the use of Assist - the client database.
In 2024, the Office of the Auditor General (OAG) undertook an audit of Assist. This project aims to address some of the recommendations resulting from this audit by reviewing Assist operating and recording practices across districts and identifying opportunities for improvement and greater consistency.
The Department collaborates to create pathways that enable individual, family and community wellbeing. What we do has far-reaching impacts across all aspects of society. Supporting wellbeing can mean many things including ensuring children are safe, helping people access a home, or creating diverse and inclusive communities.
