Role Title: Project Intern - Emergency Relief and Support
Organisation: Department of Communities
Internship Period: Winter (June - July)
Location: Fremantle
To enhance Emergency Relief and Support (ERS) ability to respond effectively to community needs during emergencies, a project intern is sought to support the development and documentation of a contemporary, standardised, and evidence-based approach for evacuation centres in Western Australia. Under the guidance of a supervisor, the intern will focus the review and refinement of the existing training package for key stakeholders. To achieve this, the intern will utilise an existing literature review to extract key pieces of information to support the revision and updating of a suite of training resources. The project will contribute to a monitoring and evaluation approach incorporating both training participant and an assessment of the broader impact of ERS service provision to impacted persons.
The Department collaborates to create pathways that enable individual, family and community wellbeing. What we do has far-reaching impacts across all aspects of society. Supporting wellbeing can mean many things including ensuring children are safe, helping people access a home, or creating diverse and inclusive communities.
