Role Description

The intern will undertake a five-week project supporting the establishment of a Consumer and Community Advisory Group for the Research Translation Centre (RTC).
Working with the RTC Program Lead, the intern will review existing resources, guidance and examples from health, research and community organisations to better understand how consumer and community advisory groups are established and operate. The intern will undertake background research, compare approaches used by similar organisations, and summarise key findings that may help inform the development of the RTC's Consumer and Community Advisory Group. The intern will also assist in developing draft resources, templates and recommendations to support the group's future establishment and operation. They will primarily interact with the RTC Program Lead, organisational staff involved in governance, consumer and community involvement, and, where appropriate, external stakeholders and partner organisations. The placement will provide practical experience in research, project planning, stakeholder engagement, governance within a health and research setting.
