East Fremantle Community Care Group operates from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Social Centre at 154 Canning Highway East Fremantle. Our group provides community art workshops for people interested in developing and practicing skills in Christian art with a focus on Byzantine and orthodox iconography. We currently have a workshop one day a week and aim to develop a regular weekly programme to run from Tuesday to Thursday. The intern will be interested in working with parish community members to develop capacity to provide Christian-themed art activities for 3 days a week. The intern will ideally have an appreciation of traditional Christian art principles and practices.
Our group aims to facilitate the participation of individuals with disabilities and people experiencing chronic health conditions.
To provide social activities and advocacy to people with disabilities and chronic health conditions, and their families and unpaid carers, living in the Town of East Fremantle.
To hold regular morning tea events and social activities at North Fremantle Bowlo on Sunday mornings.
