Role Title: Green Iron and Steel Communications Toolkit – Project Intern
Organisation: Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation
Internship Period: Winter (June - July)
Location: Perth CBD
The Energy Transition Strategies Division within the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation (JTSI) is responsible for delivering the WA Governments election commitment of a Green Iron and Steel Action Plan.
A key early action of this project is to ensure that there is clear and consistent messaging across government about green iron and steel and its place in the WA economy. The intern will develop a ‘communications toolkit’ that explains the concept of green iron and steel, its various production methods, its role in decarbonisation of WA and global industry, and its relationship to existing government policy initiatives (e.g. Diversify WA). The toolkit will be designed for use in government briefings, presentations, onboarding, and other communications. It may be extended to include a wider audience if appropriate.
