Role Title: Data Systems Intern - Needles and Syringes Program (NSP)- Dashboard Review

We have a program that purchases needles and syringes for distribution to pharmacies around WA. It is called NSP or Needles and Syringes Program. The team receives invoices from suppliers list how many packs of needles and syringes were purchased and distributed and to where.
We now have a dashboard that displays this information from the live NSP system, however there appears to be a problem and the numbers do not match up between the dashboard and the live system.
The intern would receive access to the live system and the new dashboard and investigate and potentially fix why the numbers are not matching up. It could be the design of the dashboard, or that it is not connecting to the correct database.
WA Health is now governed by the Health Services Act 2016.
The new legislation represents a significant reform in health, and is designed to modernise the way our health services are structured, governed and delivered; to promote better health, better care and better value to all Western Australians.
The legislation established the Department of Health as ‘System Manager’ for WA Health, providing stewardship, guidance and support to our health services using a collection of binding Policy Frameworks in 18 key areas of health service delivery, to ensure they provide consistent, efficient and effective services into the future.
