Role Description

The Internship is based at The Kids Institute Australia, located at Perth’s Children’s Hospital. Within the Rio Tinto Children’s Diabetes Centre; A Breakthrough T1D Centre of Excellence, you will work with the Mental Health and Wellbeing Theme, led by Dr Keely Bebbington. Supervised by Dr Keely Bebbington and Dr Anna Boggiss, your primary task will be supporting a systematic review focused on identifying Person-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) used with youth living with Type 1 Diabetes and their families and evaluating the measurement properties of these tools.
Valid and reliable PROMs are critical for understanding and addressing the unique needs of youth with T1D and their families. By identifying and assessing the reliability and validity of PROMs, you will contribute to creating a valuable resource for clinicians and researchers and help highlight areas where future PROM development is needed. The wider team includes experts in the field of paediatric diabetes and implementation science from Macquarie University, the Australian Centre for Behavioural Research in Diabetes (ACBRD), and Amsterdam University Medical Centre.
