Role Title: Special Projects Intern-Computing, Lions Hearing Aid Bank

The Lions Hearing Aid Bank (LHAB) is operated by Ear Science Institute Australia. It refurbishes donated hearing aids, and provides these to several eligible agencies and communities in low- and middle-income countries. To date, cataloguing of donations has been largely a manual process. The intern will design and develop an online portal that will be used to register incoming donations, results of refurbishment and outgoing donations, and to report on inventory and activity. Alongside, the intern will be trained to assist with cataloguing and evaluation of donated hearing aids.
Outputs of the internship: (i) an inventory portal, (ii) a presentation to internal stakeholders, and (iii) an understanding of the operation of hearing aid bank, and the administration of a humanitarian relief program.
