Organisation: Western Australian Health Translation Network
Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)
Location: Nedlands, QEII Campus
You will report to the Communications and Engagement Coordinator of the Western Australian Health Translation Network (WAHTN), based at the QEII Campus in Nedlands. WAHTN is an NHMRC-accredited Research Translation Centre that connects health and medical research organisations across WA to improve healthcare through collaboration. Your key project will include creating content for and helping to pull together the annual WAHTN Impact Report, which is shared with WAHTN’s 21 partner organisations from across the WA health and medical research sector. Your role will involve assisting with project planning, document design, professional and creative writing, all with guidance and support.
Additionally, you will provide your support in day-to-day WAHTN Communications and Project activities, including involvement in the WAHTN Communications Community of Practice, website content management (CMS) and creation, and general communication tasks. You will also be exposed to the day to day running of WAHTN and gain valuable insights into the WA health and medical research sector.
The Western Australian Health Translation Network (WAHTN) operates as a multi-site, state-wide, collaboration which brings together WA’s universities, medical research institutes, public and private health service providers, PathWest and the WA Department of Health, to embrace and accelerate research translation. We identify barriers and co-design solutions to facilitate timely research translation into better health care delivery.
