Role Title: Analytics and Research Intern
Organisation: Diversity Focus
Internship Period: Semester 2 (July – October)
Location: Bentley or Crawley
The Analytics and Research Intern will support Diversity Focus's Research and Evaluation team by contributing to the development of evidence-based tools that strengthen diversity, inclusion and anti-racism practice in educational settings. The primary focus of the role is to conduct a literature review of anti-racism frameworks, culturally responsive practice models, diversity and inclusion assessment tools, and organisational climate surveys relevant to schools, universities, and vocational education providers.
Interns will use this research to help adapt Diversity Focus's existing Diversity and Inclusion Survey, originally designed for workplaces, into a sector-specific assessment tool for educational institutions. Responsibilities include reviewing academic literature, identifying best-practice indicators, synthesising research findings, and contributing recommendations for survey domains and questions.
Interns will work closely with the Research and Evaluation team and collaborate with staff across consulting, professional learning and curriculum development. This placement provides an opportunity to develop research, critical analysis and report-writing skills while contributing to a practical resource that helps educational institutions evaluate and strengthen inclusive, culturally responsive and anti-racist practice.
Diversity Focus exists to create more equitable, inclusive and culturally responsive communities, workplaces and educational environments. We partner with organisations to build the knowledge, skills and systems needed to address racism, strengthen cultural responsiveness, and foster belonging for people from diverse backgrounds. Through consulting, training, research and innovative learning solutions, we empower individuals and institutions to move beyond awareness towards meaningful and sustainable change.
