Role Title: Event Intern
Organisation: Clubs WA
Internship Period: Semester 2 (July – October)
Location: Cockburn Central
Duties: Communication with sponsors & stakeholders, organise catering, secure suppliers, organise MC/Presenter, organise music/band, decorations within budget, plan order of events/running sheet schedule, organise promotional material & design invite for the event in conjunction with digital media intern. Research & prepare power point on Volunteer Past President being honoured. Secure audio/visual equipment. Secure potential sponsors to attend the event. Other duties as directed by supervisor including possibility of drafting speech outline for current President and current CEO, or in conjunction with other interns on placement.
Clubs WA is a NFP industry body that represents clubs (licensed and non-licensed) including sports clubs, community clubs and RSL clubs in WA. We work with the State Government, the private sector and the public to strengthen the role of clubs in local communities through support, advocacy, and professional development/training, to ensure their viability.
