Role Title: IT and Data Systems Intern: Digital Platform Development

The Pack Music Co-operative is Australia’s first musician-owned streaming platform, registered as a cooperative in Western Australia. We’re building a geo-fenced streaming service that pays the majority of subscription revenue directly to the unsigned Australian artists that listeners actually play - not to a pooled algorithm, and not to offshore shareholders. We’re a member-owned, one-member-one-vote cooperative with no venture capital - a place-based music community builder, not a tech startup.
Over the internship period, the intern will contribute to one or more discrete, achievable pieces of platform development work - scoped at the start of the internship to fit a 100-hour engagement - chosen from: supporting testing and debugging of core platform functionality (streaming, artist dashboards, playlist and admin tools); assisting with API integration testing across web and mobile; contributing to a small, well-defined feature or enhancement under guidance from the Tech Project Manager; and assisting with performance and scalability checks ahead of launch milestones.
The intern will work directly with The Pack’s Chair and Tech Project Manager to understand the codebase and current sprint priorities, carrying out assigned testing, debugging or feature-support tasks and documenting progress and issues encountered.
