Role Description

The Grants, Fundraising and Finance Intern will support the organisation’s fundraising and grant-seeking activities as well as the accounting, finance and budgeting of awarded grants. The intern will primarily work with Jacaranda CEO/assigned supervisor, community engagement teams and external stakeholders such as donors and funding bodies. Jacaranda Community Centre is a not for profit organisation in the City of Belmont.

Jacaranda is an ACCO & NFP a place where Aboriginal people can get culturally appropriate services . Employing Aboriginal people wherever possible with Elder/Community Consultation, providing greater awareness of the issues of Community among Local, State, Federal service providers. To foster, advance, empower the welfare, education, cultural needs of people on low incomes in Belmont & surrounding areas, in a non-judgemental manner, safe environment for community members to meet, share experiences, to gain knowledge and skills thus reducing social isolation. To provide family support, financial counselling, emergency relief , resources, community education to the wider community.
