Role Title: People & Culture Project Intern

The People & Culture Project Intern will work within the Shire’s People, Culture & Wellbeing team.
The intern will develop a comprehensive New Starter Induction Package, covering workplace expectations, work health and safety responsibilities, mental health awareness, respectful workplace behaviours, bullying and harassment, and practical workplace readiness. This will include developing induction resources, workplace scenarios and a written knowledge questionnaire.
The intern will also develop a bespoke Cultural Understanding and Inclusive Workplace Training Package to support employees, supervisors and leaders who work with people from diverse cultural, social and socioeconomic backgrounds. The training will focus on cultural understanding, communication, inclusion, tolerance and recognising how different life experiences can influence a person’s experience in the workplace.
The intern will primarily work with the People, Culture & Wellbeing team, with opportunities to consult with employees and supervisors, Shire leaders and other employees to ensure the resources are practical and relevant to the Shire’s workforce.
