Role Title: Project Intern 1

Internship Period: Semester 2 (July – October)
Location: Wembley
The Community Engagement and Communications Intern will play a key role in supporting the organisation’s outreach and funding efforts. This internship offers hands-on experience in the not-for-profit or community sector, with a focus on grant writing, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Grant Applications:
Assist in researching funding opportunities from government, philanthropic, and private sources.
Support the preparation and drafting of grant applications, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s mission, objectives, and programs.
Help compile required documentation and assist with data gathering for submission.
Website Storytelling:
Develop and write engaging stories that highlight the impact of the organisations work,
Assist with updating website content and ensuring consistency in tone and messaging.
Coordinate with relevant staff to source content, images, and approvals.
Community Engagement:
Support the planning and execution of community engagement initiatives, events, or campaigns.
Assist in drafting communications for newsletters, social media, and partner updates.
Help maintain and update community contact databases and track engagement metrics.
