Role Title: Green Ward Research and Data Analysis

Internship Period: Semester 2 (July – October)
Location: Nedlands and possibly Wembley and Subiaco
Intern placement with the Climate and Sustainability Program (CSP) of North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS) to support the delivery of the Green Ward project at King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH).
The CSP is part of the Strategy and Transformation Directorate of NMHS. Currently based in Nedlands, there is a possibility that the team will relocate to Wembley partway through the semester.
KEMH is in Subiaco and was established in 1916. It is the State’s largest maternity hospital.
The Green Ward project aims to trial and pilot a range of initiatives to reduce single use consumables, plastics, chemicals and waste in the one ward at KEMH.
The intern will be based with the CSP team to support the KEMH Green Ward team project and activity. This will include researching alternatives to current practices and identifying and leveraging existing data sources to support the evaluation of the project.
