Role Title: Projects and Events Intern

The intern will join the Projects and Events team within the Department of Energy and Economic Diversification in the Strategy, Performance and International Engagement Division.
This team showcases Western Australia as a diverse destination to live, do business, visit and study through events and sponsorships.
The intern will be part of the Projects and Events team to support the delivery of major events and sponsorships from July until October 2026.
This is a fast paced and exciting role with opportunities to learn more about the State Government's role in international engagement and Western Australia's unique capabilities and local business sector, while providing administrative event support, preparing contracts and briefing notes and working with the team to support quality events that deliver on strategic outcomes.
We lead Western Australia's economic development, international trade and investment, and tourism, and promote the defence, international education, science and innovation sectors. Our mission is to promote Western Australia and advance the diversification and growth of the State’s economy.
