Review of Disability Employment and Inclusion Initiatives
Project Overview The internship will focus on researching disability employment and inclusion initiatives to help the City of Wanneroo identify opportunities to become a more accessible and inclusive employer. Given the internship's 100-hour timeframe, the project scope will be limited to researching external programs, memberships, accreditations, and initiatives recommended by the Public Sector Commission (PSC). The research will provide information on: What each initiative involves Benefits and expected outcomes Costs and membership requirements Time and resource commitments Examples of participating organisations Potential relevance and value to the City of Wanneroo Key Deliverable A research report comparing disability employment and inclusion initiatives, including recommendations on which options may be most suitable for further consideration by the City. Time permitting intern maybe asked to provide a presentation on their findings to a small group. Desired Outcome To provide evidence-based information that will support future decision-making and help identify priority areas for improving disability employment and inclusion practices at the City of Wanneroo
