Role Title: Event Support Intern
Organisation: The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award (WA)
Internship Period: Semester 2 (July – October)
Location: West perth
As a Gold Ceremony Event Support Intern, you will play a key role in supporting the successful planning and delivery of the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Ceremony for Western Australia. This internship offers hands-on experience in event coordination, operational support, and communications within a well-established youth development organisation.
You will assist the Operational Support Officer and the WA Team Leader with a variety of tasks, including:
Maintaining the Gold Ceremony Register, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of award recipients.
Assisting with the creation and management of a detailed events calendar to streamline planning and communication.
Supporting forecasting activities to aid operational planning and resource allocation.
Managing invitations and correspondence related to the Gold Ceremony, ensuring timely and professional communication with stakeholders.
Utilizing tools like Excel for data management and Adobe Express or Canva for designing promotional materials and event collateral.
This role requires a proactive individual comfortable working with data and digital design tools, with excellent organisational and communication skills.
