Clinical Quality Improvement Intern – Placement Overview
We are pleased to offer an internship opportunity within the Clinical Quality Improvement (CQI) Team, providing valuable exposure to real-world healthcare improvement initiatives. This placement is designed for students or early-career professionals who are passionate about patient safety, clinical excellence, and system improvement in healthcare. Placement Purpose: The intern will actively contribute to small-scale quality improvement (QI) initiatives, working closely with CQI staff to support data collection, process mapping, stakeholder engagement, and the design and evaluation of targeted improvement activities. Key Activities May Include: Supporting the development and rollout of Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycles on specific clinical processes. Assisting with staff engagement tools, such as surveys or feedback forms. Analysing baseline data to help identify trends or gaps in current practice. Preparing visual aids such as run charts or posters for QI project updates. Attending team meetings, participating in brainstorming sessions, and contributing to project documentation.
