Role Title: Grants and Fundraising Intern
Organisation: LJM Memorial Hospice
Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)
Location: Yanchep
This internship is an opportunity to step into the heart of a grassroots, community-led organisation as we grow our fundraising and grant-seeking capacity in preparation for our rebrand to Kindlewood in 2026. You’ll be working closely with the Founder and a small leadership team to help identify funding opportunities, support grant writing and reporting, and contribute to building a sustainable donor and supporter base.
This role sits within our Grants, Fundraising & Philanthropy area and offers hands-on involvement in real work that helps keep our vision alive — from researching relevant grants and community funding programs, to helping prepare applications, build donor packs, and craft thank-you communications that reflect the tone and heart of our mission.
You’ll also contribute to projects that strengthen our donor engagement strategy, including supporter recognition, database tidying, donor journey mapping, and exploring new fundraising tools or community partnerships.
You’ll be interacting with local businesses, grant bodies, potential donors, past sponsors, and community groups helping us build a support model that feels aligned, ethical, and values-led.
This is an ideal role for someone studying business, commerce, communications or social impact who’s keen to gain real-world experience in values-based fundraising and changemaking from the ground up.
