Role Title: UniIT Cloud Data Management - Intern 1

This project will sit within UniIT’s Oracle Cloud platform team and focus on designing and helping implement a robust data retention policy that balances compliance, performance, risk and cost in a modern cloud environment. The intern will map current data types and lifecycle states across key Oracle Cloud services, research regulatory and platform‑specific retention options, and propose practical retention rules and patterns that align with UWA records requirements and cloud best practice. Working with platform, architecture and governance stakeholders, they will draft clear retention standards, define technical configuration patterns (for example backup and object storage lifecycle rules), and support a pilot implementation and handover materials for ongoing operational use. This project will appeal to students interested in cloud platforms, data management, and how emerging data governance practices are implemented in real enterprise systems.
