Social Media Planning and Implementation of Content Development Strategy

Role Title: Social Media Planning and Implementation of Content Development Strategy

Organisation: UWA Development and Alumni Relations

Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)

Location: UWA Crawley Campus

Role Description

Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) oversees the University’s alumni, philanthropy and community strategies. The function works collaboratively across the University to embed philanthropic and engagement activity into the University’s operations. The core responsibility of the team is to lead and build on the University’s alumni, donor and community relations to advance the University’s goals.
While the department has a mature and successful strategic communications offering - encompassing digital publications, direct digital communication, content marketing, high-quality writing, and coordination of media - the University's alumni-focussed social media channels are in need of a refreshed strategy and content plan, in order to better engage younger alumni. We are offering an exciting internship opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to contribute to these improvements and gain valuable workplace experience. We are looking for an intern who is a great communicator, with a keen interest in long-term strategy and creative implementation of content requirements, with an additional view to evaluating and improving content performance against key metrics.
