Role Title: Project Intern
Organisation: Salvation Army
Internship Period: Semester 2 (July – October)
Location: Fremantle
The Salvation Army’s Additional Referral Pathway (ARP) supports the journey to recovery for victim survivors experiencing or escaping modern slavery.
The program aims to broaden access to support for victim-survivors of modern slavery by implementing an Additional Referral Pathway (ARP) Program to the Red Cross Support for Trafficked People Program (STPP), using a collaborative multi-agency approach to reach, screen and assess victim-survivors across Australia for referral to the STPP, while addressing immediate safety and welfare needs.
Taking up the role of individuals undertaking internship at this Service will gain valuable experience in a variety of practical and research based activities to support the Centre. This internship is aimed at individuals currently studying in a relevant field and have a strong interest in advocacy and research, particularly in relation to vulnerable communities including modern slavery, family and domestic violence, children and families and working with multicultural communities.
The Salvation Army recognises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of Australia. Our vision for reconciliation is to be a faith movement committed to equity, freedom and the righting of injustice.
