Role Title: Community Engagement, Interior Design & Centre Promotion Intern

Internship Period: Semester 2 (July – October)

Harold Hawthorne Community Centre is seeking an intern to evaluate and enhance the Centre's physical environment, with a focus on improving space utilisation, creating welcoming community spaces, and increasing the Centre's visibility through onsite and local community marketing initiatives.
The intern will assess how indoor and outdoor spaces are currently used, identify opportunities to improve functionality, accessibility and visitor experience, and develop practical recommendations for redesigning or repurposing areas to better support community programs and activities.
In addition, the intern will develop a marketing and promotional strategy focused on increasing awareness of the Centre through physical, community-based initiatives rather than digital marketing. This may include signage, displays, community noticeboards, partnerships, promotional materials, events and improving the Centre's visual presence within the local community.
By the completion of the internship, the organisation will have a comprehensive set of recommendations and implementation plans to enhance both the customer experience and community engagement.
